A gallery in Wyoming requested artist's to submit work that used
the Raven as it's subject. Feeling like taking a break from my regular
subject and medium, I laid the brush down and picked up the blade.
The second print was sent to the gallery. I saved this one---number
one. It is professionally framed with and matted. A considerable

Here's one I did in studio set up and painted as a live still life.
It was fun since the style was freehand and mostly crosshatched,
paint strokes (see details) using a medium and small liner brush.
It showed in a Scottsdale gallery and their tag is still on rear
of painting with the retail price (see detail). Don't let that price

Phoenix called the Roadrunner. A massive neon sat over the place
and could be easily seen to all who drove by. As many of the old
neon's and businesses, The Roadrunner Truck stop is no longer in
business. The sign, long gone.

city of Hollywood has a flavor all of it's own. Filled with character's
of all sorts, I decided to paint a small self portrait in the foreground.

Occasionally I'll paint a miniature. It was a cold Winter's day,
the snow was deep as I made my way through it. Besides the tall
Ponderosas, only the dry remains of a blade of grass here and there
could be seen above the snow. As beauty could be found in even the
most insignificant in nature, I decided, these would be my subject.
When I look at this piece I feel the cold of Winter.
This painting still has the gallery information on it's rear (including
gallery retail). Using two different frames, I built one. The actual
image size is 4" x 3.5".

As with the painting NORA, this piece is one in my tattoo series.
I became interested in the art of the tattoo several years ago and
even spent some time apprenticing in a tattoo shop learning the
trade. Although I have no tattoo's myself, I saw the potential to
create 'high art' off the traditional canvas. The experience was
short lived, however---the studio kept calling me home. Instead
of using skin, I executed a number of paintings using the imagery
of the tattoo to form my compositions. Truth and Justice joins that
group of work.
This original piece would normally retail in the $5000.+ range
